Stewart, like most lieberals, is 100% WRONG. "Well regulated militia" has nothing to do with an individual's right to own firearms. Not all people are members of a militia, but all American citizens ARE people. The Constitution says "the right OF THE PEOPLE to keep and bear arms SHALL [mandatory] not be infringed." Are you and Stewart claiming that a person in a wheelchair, someone who is 70, or any other CITIZEN who can't be a militia member does not have the right to defend himself?
OK, so that is FAIL #1.
FAIL #2: Yes, it stands to reason that where there are more guns there are more shootings. But Stewart and lieberals FAIL to separate shootings OF criminals from shootings BY criminals. Where there are more guns, criminals stand a higher chance of being shot by their victims. There are also millions of cases where guns are used for self-defense but are NOT fired. The truth is, MOST shootings by criminals occur in places where honest citizens have a hard time owning firearms, i.e., in Demonrat controlled cities.
Are you claiming that this 71 year old man should have been a willing participant in his own murder?
FAIL #3: The government does NOT have the right to know who owns what guns, any more than they have the right to know how many shovels, lawnmowers, chain saws, baseball bats, golf clubs, tennis rackets, or Massey-Ferguson tractors you own. If you go out and run down a pedestrian with your tractor, it was YOU who committed the crime, not your tractor.
If Stewart, you, and all the other lieberal sheeple out there don't want to own guns, and want to be easy prey, that is certainly your right. Just don't try to step on MY rights.

I can't speak for the other 4 states, but most murders committed by CRIMINALS with guns in Louisiana occur in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Both cities are controlled by Demonrats.
There are a hell of a lot more lawabiding gun owners in Louisiana than there are thugs who use guns illegally. If you break into someone's home here, chances are good your ass will be shot. If you try carjacking me, chances are good your ass will be shot.
If you try armed-robbing me on the street, chances are good your ass will be shot.
I have absolutely no problem with that. Do you?

Top five places with the most deaths by firearm per capita? Alaska Alabama Montana Louisiana Mississippi Are you telling me those are hard places to acquire guns? Full disclosure…I like Jon Stewart, he’s a smart guy and he often makes sense. He’s also too much of a smart ass sometimes for my tastes. Let the other talk instead of going into the arrogant, cocksure routine that he showed in this clip.
