Your QB admitted they knew. That's not just proof, it's pretty damning proof given when the NCAA has already disclosed. The NCAA is going to hammer Michigan and it is going to be glorious. Please stop with the stupid comments. McCarthy did not say they knew. You're right, he said they started stealing signs. The NCAA said they did it illegally. Tomato, tomato. The more obtuse you continue to be, the sillier you look. Your program cheated and everyone knew it was happening. Enjoy that tainted title, though. 👌

The more obtuse you continue to be, the sillier you look. Your program cheated and everyone knew it was happening. Enjoy that tainted title, though. 👌 Talk about silly. You're still making stuff up. He did not say they started stealing signs. But thanks - I'm enjoying the hell out of the title. Almost as much as three in a row over ohio. Here's what McCarthy actually said, not what you think he meant - J.J. McCarthy clarifies his '80 percent' comment regarding sign stealing across CFB
b y: Andrew Graham• 01/04/24• Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy on Thursday clarified some remarks he made on Wednesday about sign-stealing and trying to catch up to the competition, saying that he was not implying the Wolverines went around the rules to make up ground. He had also said on Wednesday that he suspects around 80 percent of college football programs engage in legal sign stealing, an assessment that he did not back down from. McCarthy, who was asked about the subject on Wednesday on a conference call with reporters, singled out rival Ohio State and said that the Wolverines suspected their signs were known on the opposite sideline in 2019-20. He stated that “we had get up to the level that they were at, and we had to make it an even playing field” which many took as an admission that players and coaches at Michigan knew about the impermissible scouting done by former staffer Connor Stalions to steal signs. “The clarification comes along with when I said we’re trying to level the playing field. It’s not in terms of how we steal signs or anything remotely close to that. It’s just about how we protect our signs, how we camouflage our signs. You know, we were one of the first teams to put the big black sheet in front of our boards, so teams can’t see it from watching film on us. It’s just leveling the playing field and protecting our signs, and disguising our signs to help us have that advantage,” McCarthy said to ESPN’s Marty Smith on Thursday. And the Michigan quarterback stood by his estimation that most teams have stolen or decoded the signs of the opposition, even raising his estimate. It’s not an uncommon practice in college football, something McCarthy’s teammates reminded him of. “You know, that was a low number to be honest with you. I asked some of my teammates and I was like, ‘Is that crazy to say?’ and they’re like, ‘Yeah, because I think it’s 90-95 percent.’ So that’s where it comes from, just hearing it through the grapevine from the coaches that have been here and go somewhere else, little stuff like that,” McCarthy said. In his original remarks, he actually said he was trying to be a bit conservative with his estimate. “I also feel like it’s so unfortunate because, you know, there’s probably, I don’t want to say a crazy number, but I’d say a good number, 80% of teams in college football steal signs,” McCarthy said on Wednesday. “It’s just a thing about football. You know, it’s been around for years.”

I think I'm beginning to see the problem here. Notice who this person writes for -
J.J. McCarthy says Michigan stole signs to 'even playing field' with Ohio State
Colin Gay, Columbus Dispatch Thu, Jan 4, 2024
When answering a question about Michigan's sign-stealing scandal on Wednesday's College Football Playoff teleconference, Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy said most college football programs legally steal signs, including Ohio State in 2019 and 2020.
"I also feel like it's so unfortunate because there's probably – I don't want to say a crazy number, but I'd say a good number, 80 percent of the teams in college football steal signs," McCarthy said. "It's just a thing about football. It's been around for years.
"We actually had to adapt because in 2020 or 2019 when Ohio State was stealing our signs, which is legal and they were doing it, we had to get up to the level that they were at, and we had to make it an even playing field." Ohio State did not play Michigan in 2020 due to the Wolverines opting out of the game during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, the Buckeyes won their matchup 56-27. It was Ohio State's most recent victory against Michigan.
Former Michigan recruiting staff member Connor Stalions is alleged to have led a sign-stealing scheme that had Michigan representatives film the sidelines of future opponents to decode sideline signals. This violates NCAA bylaws against in-person advance scouting. Stalions resigned in November.
Linebackers coach Chris Partidge was fired in November for telling players not to speak to investigators about the scheme. Jim Harbaugh was suspended for three games by the Big Ten for violating the conference's sportsmanship policy.
Michigan defensive lineman Mason Graham continued that his team "get tendencies" from other programs by watching film, saying his team has "high football IQ."
McCarthy said Michigan works hard to improve its football IQ, watching film for tendencies of opposing linebackers and safeties' postures or where the corner lines up.
"Little stuff like that where it's like, you could say it's all sign stealing, but there's a lot more that goes into play, and a lot of stuff that gets masked, a lot of work that gets masked just because of the outside perception of what sign stealing is all about," McCarthy said.
When asked about potential punishments due to Michigan's sign-stealing scandal such as vacated wins, McCarthy said it would be "unfortunate" to not be recognized for the work he and his team put in.
"But at the end of the day, it's not going to change the amount of accomplishment and the amount of pride for being on this football team and just everything that we accomplished because we know what we put in, we know the work that we've put in, and we know that we did things the right way as players," McCarthy said.
"Whatever happens with just all the outside controversy is just out of our control, and whatever the NCAA wants to do is out of our control. We're going to appreciate the things we did control and the things we did accomplish."

How did this thread morph from Alabama's hire of the Washington coach to whether Harbaugh knew or didn't know about stealing signs? Keep it on subject gentlemen; I for one think Alabama got a great hire and unfortunately for Iowa, took his OC, Ryan Grubb with him. I was hoping Ferentz would nab on to the Iowa native and rumor says he talked to him, but Grubb turned down the offer. Grubb will be a HC in the near future, just wait and see. Now, someone please explain to me how Harbaugh could have known something he didn't know? Sounds like something Trn or Walter would come up with as in their minds, they know everything.

There should have been no need to clarify anything, he said what he said. As for what Mickey needs to provide you, who cares? Harbaugh knows he got caught which is why is seeking immunity from being fired if he stays. Keep your head in the sand, though. It's expected at this point given your 180° on Harbaugh wince he started winning. LOL

Where did you get the dumbass idea that Kelly is struggling?
In his very first year at LSU he outcoached $aban. He has two consecutive 10 win seasons, and has lost a few games he shouldn't have. There is always room for improvement, and I am quite comfortable with him for now.

He won in overtime on the last play. Hardly outcoached, kelly had a 1-2 recorc vs the GOAT thanks to that 1 play. Enjoy

Fear not, though. $aban will still be dominating the alabama coaching staff and the players, and he has publicly stated he would be doing that.
"I'm going to be here, so I'm going to be here for (the players). I'm going to have a presence. I'm going to stay in Tuscaloosa. They're giving me an office in the stadium. I said (to the players) I can get on your butt from there just like I can from on the field."
