People over 65 (my age group) comprise only 16% of the U.S. population-- so it's not surprising that our old Boomer rock bands are no longer featured in the Super Bowl.

I, honestly, didn't know who any of the performers were in Usher's half-time show.

Not my cup of tea, but, whatever.

I thought the halftime show was great.
I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised at how good Usher is.

no lip synching. he was singing and dancing, sometimes on roller skates. I was impressed

I didn't care for the halftime show, never been an usher fan ,and also found portions to be inappropriat for children.

Another issue was the National anthem(s)?
Why two? Are there two parts of the country? If you were born in this country that makes you American no matter what color you are.

It started off slow with no energy...Alicia Keys couldnt sing...and it became a mess once they were dancing on roller skates...smh

I agree about AK, but later I sat there and thought, damn...you gotta have some kinda confidence trying to sing and dance on stage at the Super Bowl wearing roller skates. I thought it was gutsy.
And I was really impressed with Usher's voice. I did not know he had that in him...Frankly, I couldn't name you any song he ever recorded, and I only know his finale because of the Hangover movie.

All that said....I hope the whole thing wasn't just lip-sync'd. I noticed that the woman playing the guitar seemed to be canned play-along, so I wonder about other parts.

Surely, they must have done a live show.

I didn't know any of the songs, but I thought the singers were talented, and the dancing was impressive.

But the hip hop dance stuff isn't my cup of tea.

In the good old rock 'n roll days, the only synchronized dancer/singers were Motown artists like the Temptations and the Supremes.

Synchronized hip hop dancing is not a white dude thing-- which is why the Dunkings Super Bowl commercial with Ben Affleck and Tom Brady was so funny.
