No, we will worship Him as Ling of Kings and Lord of Lords and our redeemer/savior. ...as long as he doesn't say something bad about Donald Trump, or tells you to love your gay and trans neighbors and bake wedding cakes to celebrate their union, and tells you to help the helpless who stream across our southern border... No Jesus would not bake a cake for a homosexual or lesbian wedding or ask us to. While Jesus associated with sinners and love then he did not ever enable their sins or ask us to do so. When Jesus was on Earth he never got involved in the affairs of the government of his time here. His message was for us as individuals to help those in need around us. It was not to tell us to lobby our government to bring in people from other countries who have their own Christians to support theirs in need.

So Jesus would have been in favor of building a wall to keep out those seeking a better life?

So Jesus would have been in favor of building a wall to keep out those seeking a better life? Seems like a Mark 12:17 kind of thing, I think... "And Jesus answered and said to them, 'Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.' " The Bible often talks of the laws...on Earth, there are laws...remember those things? Especially concerning the borders in this case? In that same vein: Peter Marshall, the chaplain of the U.S. Senate (1947-49) issued a call for Americans to honor God: "The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration. I am rather tired of hearing about our rights and privileges as American citizens. The time is come--it is now--when we aught to hear about the duties and responsibilities of our citizenship. America's future depends upon her accepting and demonstrating God's government."

You could use Mark 12:17 out of context to justify any government crimes-- even HItler's Holocaust and Stalin's Gulag.

I'm thinking that was his opinion...which he is entitled to. And I'd think his opinion is probably more worthwhile & rational than the opinion of yourself & your dysfunctional family here.
