Where does he threaten to withhold aid? Where does he even mention the aid? Come on dude, it didn't happen. There are all sorts of reasons way aid may or may not have been sent. You want to tie it to Trump threatening Zolensky you cannot just say well, it looks like it could have been. You defend Biden all the time wanting black and white evidence of things they think he has done. Time to be fair. All sorts of reasons why aid was withheld? If there was, why didn't Trump list any of them during the impeachment inquiry? Instead, we got a parade of Trump's own staff saying it was because of his desire to obtain Biden dirt. Give me names and quotes. And show me where Trump even hinted at such a thing in the phone call. You cannot because he did not.

What was Trump's purpose in bringing up 'Crowdstrike'? You first. Where did he even mildly suggest withholding aid?

Where did he suggest he would do so if Zolensky didn't find dirt on Biden for him? And I'm pretty sure you understood that condition with the first post and took the opportunity to sidestep again. I was anticipating at least ten percent increases in SS benefits every year he was in office, but he didn't do it. Does that mean I didn't do something that he wanted me to do?

So later testimony by Trump administration officials to Ukrainians that the money was held up by Trump pending turnover of some dirt isn't relevant? Did you even watch the testimony at all by the Trump officials? WASHINGTON (AP) — A former top White House official confirmed that military aid to Ukraine was held up by President Donald Trump’s demand for the ally to investigate Democrats and Joe Biden but testified that there’s nothing illegal, in his view, about the quid pro quo at the center of the Democrat-led impeachment inquiry.apnews.com/article/donald-trump-ap-top-news-joe-biden-politics-impeachments-e6b5c1b4adbc40dda0bb4f7fba8bae1dHere we have a Trump guy telling us he did it, but claiming it wasn't illegal to do it. So please stop with the nonsense that it didn't happen. It did. But Morrison also confirmed what diplomat William Taylor told investigators in earlier testimony — that Morrison had a “sinking feeling” when he learned that Trump was asking the Ukrainians to publicly announce an investigation of Biden and the Democrats, even as the Republican president denied it was a quid pro quo.
“I can confirm,” Morrison wrote, that the substance of the diplomat’s testimony “is accurate.”

Thanks for that totally circular argument. So Trump tells your "witness" essentially that having not sent the aide has nothing to do with it, long before there is any accusation this is what he did, and you still refuse to see it. I guess in your world there is nothing Trump is not guilty of.

We've had discussions about why people plead guilty to charges they are innocent of. This is a perfect example of how this system works. Play ball and we will go easy on you. Don't play ball and your life will be a living hell for several years. How un-American can it get to threaten an attorney with losing a judgeship nomination if he chose to defend a particular client? That should be punishable by jail time more than anything Trump is accused of.. Sorta reminds us of withholding aid unless one fabricates dirt on a political opponent. What should be the punishment? Ask Hitlery, since that is what SHE did.

Taylor was instructed to tell the Ukrainian presidential advisor as much. So it doesn't matter what Trump SAID. It matters what he DID. And what he did was instruct his administration set up a quid pro quo.

So Trump tells your "witness" essentially that having not sent the aide has nothing to do with it, long before there is any accusation this is what he did, and you still refuse to see it. I guess in your world there is nothing Trump is not guilty of. Everybody involved in the aid package thought it was conditioned on a Burisma investigation. Amb. Taylor was instructed to tell the Ukrainian presidential advisor as much. So it doesn't matter what Trump SAID. It matters what he DID. And what he did was instruct his administration set up a quid pro quo. So, I read through several summaries of Taylor's testimony. Not going to read a 300-page transcript. The question I have is why he continually says things like "it was my understanding" when speaking about this. I didn't see one time where he said Trump said it was conditional on an investigation. I did see where he said that Trump specifically said there would be no aid until Ukraine cracked down on corruption, but nothing specific to Biden. So it doesn't make sense to me that he never just outright says he heard it. If you can produce a quote from the testimony I will give it consideration, but, as I noted before, the only two actual quotes people heard are Trumps "I'm not looking for a quid pro quo" and Trumps "there will be no aid until they crack down on corruption." Neither suggests he is guilty. I'm open to what you've got but I can't go there with anything based on what I've read so far.
