whenever a professional athlete came out in support of anything liberal, all i heard was collective outrage from conservatives. conservatives often take the view that famous people shouldn't express political opinions if they happen to disagree with those opinions. remember "shut up and dribble"? the funny thing to me is the hypocrisy. my opinion is that anybody, even those with a platform, should be able to express their political opinions if they choose to do so. if this trump dance is their way to express joy, then go for it. doesn't bother me. i just ask that when an athlete shows support for a position conservatives may disagree with, they extend the same respect. So because you're OK with a football player doing the "Trump dance", we should be OK with athletes kneeling during the anthem or turning their backs on the flag? Sorry. No. i didn't use the kneeling during the athem as my example. i used laura Ingraham's comments to lebron james "shut up and dribble" as my example. although i will admit that the routine of conservatives manufacturing outrage and shoving faux patriotism down our throats are great examples of other annoyances. but those are separate topics. my point is conservatives are insular, overly sensitive and fragile to the point that they are unable to handle it when people express opinions they disagree with |

Well first, I doubt a lot of folks believe Kamala owns a gun. Next, the right to free speech is of course more fluid than the right to own a gun. Owning a gun is black and white. You do or you don't. Now, is it legal for you, as a gun ownership, to brandish said weapon in a crowded theater and cause a stampede? No. The real difference i see is liberals only want speech they agree with to be protected. Free speech means protecting the right to say things you don't like. |
