IHS, Gator makes a good point. If it was not your intent to tie this to some lame defense of PSU's conduct about Sandusky, then why post it in the football section? If you are remarking about "societal conduct" shouldn't it be posted in, at least, the "General" category of things?

That you posted it here tells us you WERE attempting linkage. If so, as Daleko points out, had UCONN music sold out their football stadium for concerts every week and their conduct under the purview of the NCAA, I'd see a link.....I'd get it....but it isn't, and I don't.

Don't tell me to get with the program. And who are you to decide what material is appropriate for here. The team boards are dumb. How much further can you drill down? How about we have boards for each teams offensive unit and separate boards for each teams defensive unit?

It's too bad that ihs is so petulant about his sweet Sandusky. The interesting part of this story got completely overlooked. Read the following and ask why Hole in the Wall officials just swept this under the rug and let this guy continue his evil ways. Why didn't they get police involved rather than just cover their own asses?

The camp where Miller worked, the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, opened by actor Paul Newman for sick children, released a statement saying it was aware of an investigation of a former staff member.

A mother of one of the campers told state police that she and the other boys' parents told camp officials about the allegations but didn't tell police at the time. State police say camp officials then fired Miller.

i commented on this earlier in response to daleko. it goes to show people make idiotic/flawed decisions when it comes to this stuff. it doesn't mean their intentions are evil though. if psu football culture is to blame for sandusky, then why do predators get away with their evil acts in numerous other communities too, especially community where negative publicity by public at large is a non factor. that has always been my point. and it's why the ncaa punishment is so ridiculous.

fwiw I agree w/you that the ncaa page is an appropriate spot for your post if you're trying to draw attention to the ncaa's supposedly flawed decision. but since UConn's music program is not under ncaa governance, the comparison is a stretch. and as pointed out earlier, there are significant differences in the two incidents, especially when it comes to knowledge and action by the authorities in question.

everybody here knows your opinion. every non-psu story you've posted here, it seems, circles back to the 'we wuz jobbed' storyline. THAT is what's tiresome. and annoying. trn is right. its not anger. any anger on this kind of platform is 100% misplaced emotion. but it is annoying. apparently a similar feeling to sooner fans toward their defense.
