When Logan won the NCAA title, our AD Gene Smith got a $18,000 bonus. How messed up is that?

in light of the current arguments for paying student athletes, especially in a non-revenue sport, it doesn't look very good. mark scott tosu 81 from a coach/admin standpoint, i get a coach getting bonuses for his team, HIS team, accomplishing certain goals. i can understand a coach getting rewarded for one of his players achieving something like this in an individual sport. but the a-d getting a bonus for an individual champion? i know it happens elsewhere. doesn't mean it's right. mark scott tosu 81 |

Amazing, ain't it? All of a sudden paying the players a few dollars doesn't seem so unreasonable, does it? And this isn't about Gene Smith, these kind of bonuses exist at many other schools for AD's, coaches, etc. from a coach/admin standpoint, i get a coach getting bonuses for his team, HIS team, accomplishing certain goals. i can understand a coach getting rewarded for one of his players achieving something like this in an individual sport. but the a-d getting a bonus for an individual champion? i know it happens elsewhere. doesn't mean it's right. mark scott tosu 81
