Planted the garden 2 weeks ago. Corn, pole beans, maters, cucumbers, squash, Romaine lettuce, turnip greens.
Only 2 more meals of corn in the freezer, and tomatoes for a few fixins of spaghetti sauce. Can't wait for the fresh veggies in a few weeks.

I'm going to have strawberries this year, though not as I'd planned. I bought plants and a strawberry planter last season to grow and give to my son and his family. The plants barely grew, but sent out runners to create new plants. (This is their primary propagation method...not by seed.) THOSE plants in my garden are thriving and have berries on them. The ones in the planters? Still looking scrawny. I'm letting my gardens go easy this year. A few lettuce plants, potatoes, tomatoes is all. |

I've got:
3 varieties of heirloom tomatoes
beefsteak tomatoes
a variety of cherry tomatoes
lots and lots of pole string beans
green onions
carrots
jalapenos
zucchini
red onions
strawberries
blueberries
pomegranates
tangerines
oranges
I need to do corn and artichokes next year. May get the artichokes going this year...
I made the mistake of composting throwaway strawberries a couple years ago. The next year when I mixed in my compost dirt to the garden I had strawberries popping up everywhere!

Ernie, I think you should contact your local district attorney and ask him to charge me with this "felony menacing" you talk about. I'd love to sue you for pressing false charges against me. My attorney would have your computers (home and business) seized and examined. Evidence from them of your threats to shoot me and my family would then be turned over to the DA there. Since you have mentioned those threats in here several times over the years, it would be considered a continuing crime and multiple counts would apply.
