Okay Peeples, this is the deviled egg recipe that Lee loves so much. No there is nothing toxic in it and No, I am not posting pics.
It is a simple deviled egg recipe that requires just a tad of tweeking.
Lee can even make these!!
Boil 6 eggs to hard boiled. I typically boil between a medium to hard boil for 10 minutes. I do put a tad of vinegar in the water. It helps to soften the shells.
Cool the eggs, de-shell and cut them in half
Segregate the yolks from the whites.
Smash the yolks with a fork and save the whites.
Now texture is important. No one likes those over-whipped yolks.
a Salt the yolks and dash them with pepper
a good dash of smoked paprika is needed too.
Then add a squirt of spicy brown mustard and a 1/4 to 1/3 teaspoon of horseradish. Your tastebuds are going to tell you how much you like.
Then add mayo. I add mayo a little at a time, because this is when the texture thing matters. Too little, they are too dry. Too much and you
can't take it back and they suck! Whip the yolks with a fork (don't over beat) and then put them in the whites.
For a topping, I like to pre-cook bacon and put the bits on top. Sprinkle with more smoked paprika if you choose.
