I'm on my second box of fresh figs in the past two weeks. Also bought some dried figs.
The dried ones ended up stuffed with an almond paste concoction and was great at a party.
Tried it with fresh figs and it wasn't as good.
So far, the fresh ones have, for the most part, ended up sliced on toast and cream cheese in the morning.
Anyone got good things to do with fresh figs?

I'm envious. Most summers aren't warm enough long enough for us to get figs here, even though we're on the edge of the subtropic zone. This summer has been so danged cool that I've only got about 2% of the normal tomato crop. Never seen anything like it. |
