I get mine at the Cash and Carry at Barham Av. and Petaluma Road.
They have great prices on cases of the stuff.

It's Petaluma Hill Road, boss. This area is known as South Park (for real) and it used to be the ghetto area of Santa Rosa. Now it's infested with yuppies and their low cost fixer uppers and most of the black people who used to live there are long gone. When I was in high school there was a liquor store right near where you referenced the Cash and Carry that was owned/run by black guys. They would sell to us high schoolers and we affectionately called the place n1gger liquors. Of course for Lee it's spelled lickers.

That Cash and Carry has some fond memories....well....actually, not so fond....
It was the last project that I actually, physically built.
It was cold and miserable and I decided, that's it...why am I finishing concrete in the middle of the night, 500 miles from home? From now on....Architecture, ONLY !!

The only thing that kept us going were, in this order: the donuts from that donut shop on the corner in the morning, the burritos from that Mexican joint across the street on PetHillRoad for lunch, and a beer and dinner at the neighborhood bar next door to the west after we rolled up.

That bar is called The Zoo now and is a dive bar extraordinaire. Toothless hags abound.
BTW, The Hells Angels' club house is on the next street down from the Dunkin' Donuts (used to be Winchell's). I get my smog checks on that corner in the Quonset hut building (used to be a popular car repair joint).

I don't recall what the name of the bar was back then. But we enjoyed it.
Got to know the owners and most of the regulars quite well. The dining room, through a door from the bar, had the owner's wife cooking and it just like when you were a kid rolling into the house. We never knew what we were having for dinner until we sat down and she told us what she was making. It was way homey and cool.

What's the name of the old Roadhouse on the stagecoach trail out on some back road near Petaluma where President US Grant stayed back in the day? The electricians turned us onto it. We ate there a lot too.

The Washoe House on Stony Point Rd. All the dollar bills on the ceiling of the bar area.
Clint Eastwood filmed a movie there. Can't remember the name now... My last band would practice at the drummer's house not too far from there on 116 so we were always popping in for beers, or beers and dinner. It's also on the way to the shooting range out on the Marin Co. border so Mark (my drummer) and I would always stop on the way back for beers.
