Objection!! And not that it matters overall, but my records show 8-7.
Winners: UVA, IA, ARK, LOU, STAN, AZ, BC and MN.
One of us is wrong and here's hoping it's you. Edited. Yes! Tied for 3rd this week! With Max! Hell, if I were Arkansas the committee might put me in the Sugar Bowl.

Two weeks left...you could theoretically go 0-30. Lol. Oops. Forgot about the week after t'giving. Remember as well that while theoretically you could go 0-30, it's also possible that someone else goes 30-0. So it likely won't technically be over until the final week.....technically.... Geez....so pitiful, but it's come down to that? ...and this...

Here's consolation. When you think about it, since we're all picking against the spread, having your record is just as amazing and unlikely as mscott's. Perhaps you should try the rally cap concept for the bowl section of the tournament and go inside out and backwards and pick AGAINST yourself every week.

What is the secret to success? I believe it's good women, good whiskey and good cigars, in that order. OH....you meant in football pools.... I have no idea.

That reminds me of the scene from Paint Your Wagon when the Christian farmer boy is taken to No Name City by Lee Marvin and is introduced to whiskey, cigars, and women in that order.

What is the secret to success? I believe it's good women, good whiskey and good cigars, in that order. OH....you meant in football pools.... I have no idea. I have actually used this season as an experiment of sorts to see how much value there is in doing extensive research or none at all. Last year I was a +10 and spent quite a bit of time researching each game each week. The funny thing about last year was I was +8 after the first week and only +2 the rest of the way so I wasn't sure how valuable my research was. This year, I made a conscious decision to wing it and see where I landed. I obviously follow college football closely and have a feel for which team is good, bad or ugly but in terms of in depth analysis of each game, I did next to nothing this year. The result? I am sitting at +9 on the year. So in summary, I have no idea either. Both approaches have worked about the same for me. Mark is running away with this year's tourney but he was a -8 last year so I would be interested to know if he changed his approach at all. I know he also follows a few games a week very closely (for entertainment purposes only, of course) so I would suspect he hasn't and if so, I guess it just comes down to this being gambling and if you win more than you lose, you should consider it a success.

I had a similar experience, which is what begat the idea of letting Max make picks. I spent a lot of time going through stats and such and was getting terrible results. So I thought...let's let MAXIE try it and see what happens.
