LOL! Yes, I was talking about oyster stuffing. A recipe, I want to try. I'm toying with the idea of mini version of the feast of the 7 fishes for Christmas this year. May make it 3 fishes. I'll be researching the lighter menu side dishes. Are you of Italian/Catholic ancestry? Were you part of the message board when we had the Italian-American guy talk about his Christmas menu? Simply fascinating! I think he lived in Florida (originally from Connecticut). He was cool, but one day he just...disappeared  . My sister married into an Italian family, and when I spend Christmas with them the menu typically goes anti-pasta, linguine with clam or meat sauce, then baked pasta, usually ziti or lasagna, a seafood course of calamari, octopus and lobster, then the roasted pork and or beef followed by various deserts. You literally eat for 6-8 hours. |
