Read something this am that was hilarious. The times pulled their beat writer off the Knicks this week, who, at 5-32, they've deemed on not being worthy of coverage as a professional teams. The paper is asking fans to suggest who their reporter should cover, be it a nba team, college team, hs team, local ymca team, or some other hoops organization.

I have no sympathy for Carmelo Anthony or the Knicks. f-word 'em.
Carmelo had a brilliant collegiate career at Syracuse, and he took the Denver Nuggets to a 4-2 Western NBA Championship series against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers, before leaving Denver for the Big Apple a few years ago. Denver got screwed through free agency-- losing their highest NBA draft pick in decades.
What happened to Denver that year was similar to what happened to the Cleveland Cavs when LeBron split for Miami.
Michael Jordan criticized LeBron and Carmelo at the time.
So, I couldn't care less about Carmelo Anthony or his sorry ass Knicks at this point.
In fact, I stopped watching the NBA entirely after Anthony skipped town.

Not sure I'd call one year in college a brilliant career, but he was certainly good during those 12 months, winning syracuses first ever ncaa hoops title.

Yeah, I watched that Syracuse Final Four, and Carmelo Anthony played brilliantly. He and Chauncey Billups had a good thing going the year that the Nuggets lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference Championship series, but Carmelo faded down the stretch.
