This is why playing in the B10 and winning a Heisman trophy is so difficult. 'Zeke will keep Miller/Barrett/Jones from winning it next year, and vice versa.

The potential to keep improving is enormous. It's one thing to get there, another to stay. At least from a talent perspective, we're is position. Now the kids need to enjoy this for a while, rest their bodies, hit the books in class then go back to work to get better.

Let's hope the players are able to handle the success better than some of the idiot fans did last night. Win or lose, games like this are sure to bring out the worst in people and last night was no exception. I am very excited to see what the future holds, though. If every player makes a commitment to be better next year than they were this year and we will fill the holes that graduation, etc. will present, the sky is the limit with this group. BTW, I got a lot of questions from friends and family last night about whether my opinion of Meyer would change with a win. Not one bit, I told them. I said he was an incredible coach and motivator before he ever coached a game in Columbus. Last night did nothing to change that opinion.

He's got scads of talent, size and speed. Ba( 40/40 = you get in when we're up by 40 with 40 seconds left)Morin

Someone from the SEC That's really not too far fetched. Looking back at 1973, the 2nd place finish in the heisman went to John Hicks, left offense tackle. Soph Archie Griffin, and LB Randy Gradishar pulled enough votes from Hicks that the RB from pSU won it. OSU was real close to having the 73, 74, 75 trophy winner. They had to settle for " two out of three ain't bad" The possiblity of the QB(s) keeping Zeke from winning is about equal to Zeke keeping the OSU QB(s) from winning it. But, we could have 2 of 3 in NYC next December. Almost an embarrassing amount of wealth at QB/RB positions. But as my momma always said...."profit ain't a dirty word"

But as my momma always said...."profit ain't a dirty word" Out of curiosity, I looked up those years. What really caught my eye is this: 1975Winner Archie Griffin 262 carries, 1,450 yds, 5.5 avg., 4 TDs 2nd place Chuck Muncie 228 carries, 1,460 yds, 6.1 avg., 13 TDs 3rd place Ricky Bell 385 carries, 1,957 yds, 5.1 avg., 13 TDs 4th place Tony Dorsett 255 carries, 1,686 yds, 6.6 avg., 13 TDs Griffin arguably had the worst numbers of any of the four. Given what we know now, and then revisiting the numbers only, clearly Dorsett would have won the trophy, and Bell probably should have been second as he had nearly a 2000 yard season (and...holy moly...385 carries in 12 games, an average of 32 carries/game. THAT, folks, is "Tailback U".) But both Dorsett and Bell were juniors...back when that mattered. USC lost 4 of their last 5 games, Pitt lost 3 of their last 5, while tOSU was undefeated. End of story.
