... is about to knock off iowa in the big 10 tourney. up 64-56 w/0:11.2 left. final. 67-58. psu was down 28-19 at the half, down 11 at one point in the 2nd half. impressive, vs a team many saw as the sleeper in this tournament.

... is about to knock off iowa in the big 10 tourney. up 64-56 w/0:11.2 left. was just going to post! here is my response. first, please click this link and play this song while reading. it will add to the drama: the ebb and flow of this season has been sort of crazy. awesome non conference record (12-1) sort of gave me a bit of hope. then the realities of conference play brought me down to earth. but this has always been a decent team. their confidence was shot after losing so many close games early on in conference play. but their two talented seniors has sort of revived the team a bit. they ended conference play with a buzzer beater against the gophers. they beat a nebraska team that wasn't very good. and i was happy to beat nebraska b/c i don't really like tim miles. he's my second least favorite coach after tom crean, who is an absolute fraud. but i digress. i knew we could play with iowa b/c they needed overtime to beat us just a few weeks ago. penn state had to go with a bigger lineup and they looked overmatched in the first half. penn state's best when they can go small and run. but iowa struggled to score and penn state finally began to make some shots. i think we can play with purdue and make it to the semi's. purdue also needed a fluke offensive rebound off a missed free throw and overtime to beat us. at the minimum, this win today probably gets us into the NIT. i like the overall direction of the program. chambers is recruiting well. the fans can sense his passion unless his predecesor who had the personality of an oscillating fan. they have the 32nd ranked recruiting class but the city schools, especially nova, still kill us for top talent in metro philly. now i'm off to get a couple happy hour beers. it's troeg's nugget nector season. let's go state!

The remaining teams in the tournament can cancel their orders for eye protection due to Penn State's outstanding performance. lmao. better watch out... mccafferty is going to be looking for you.
