I bought an electric roaster at a yard sale for $10 about 5 years ago. I hv used it many times since then. Cook turkeys in it about once a month, cooked ribs quite a few times, and Boston butts and roasts quite often. Cooked a fresh ham for Easter Sunday morning. Cut some red taters in quarters and put them in the pot, added carrots as well. Was outstanding!!

I have one of those. I use it to cook the turkey in on Thanksgiving, unless I we do a deep fryed one. It works beautifully. Saves oven space so I can do squash souffle.

I use to like Boston butts, myself, Cowboy-- women from Wellesley, etc...
Never cooked any-- just warmed their buns with my hands...
