quick on the trigger again i see there ol sparky........as mark pointed out in several posts before yours, the sec does not care what the division record is, just overall record. Not accurate again. The SEC does care about division record when it is applicable. so, a tie in that division.... counts, doesn't count..... depending on head to head?

Next!! quick on the trigger again i see there ol sparky........as mark pointed out in several posts before yours, the sec does not care what the division record is, just overall record. Then you are BOTH incorrect....again.....NEXT!

Not accurate again. The SEC does care about division record when it is applicable. so, a tie in that division.... counts, doesn't count..... depending on head to head?
1. The overall SEC record is considered first in determining the division position of each team.
2. In case of a two team tie, the head to head is the tiebreaker.
3. In case of a three team tie, the tiebreakers start with head to head. If one team has lost to the other two teams, that team is eliminated and the two remaining teams are reconsidered as a two team tiebreaker. If the three beat each other round robin, the next tie breaker is best record within the division. I'm not sure where the tiebreaker goes past division records. It could be a coin flip or who is ranked higher. When the BCS was around, the final tiebreaker was who was ranked higher in the BCS.
In the case between bama and Ole Miss, if the rebs win out and the tide loses to AU, both will finish tied at 6-2. Ole Miss would win the division based on their head to head win over bama. Ole Miss would also have the better division record, but the tiebreaker wouldn't get that far before it is settled.

UW likely headed to Holiday Bowl in San DiegoMadison – Paul Chryst's first season as Wisconsin's head coach is rapidly nearing its conclusion, with just a bowl game to go. UW (9-3, 6-2 Big Ten), which crept back into the national rankings at No. 25 on Sunday after closing the regular season with a 10-point victory over Minnesota, appears headed to the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30 in San Diego to face a team from the Pacific-12 Conference. Bowl bids will start to come out after this weekend's conference championship games. "This group, they appreciate what they've all done to earn a right to play another game," Chryst said after the 31-21 victory over Minnesota, UW's 12th in a row in the series. "Each day is a new opportunity. Each week is a new opportunity. The bowl game is another opportunity." UW's likely opponent is unranked Utah (9-3, 6-3 Pac-12), which opened the season with a 24-17 victory over Michigan and was 6-0 before splitting its final six games. Utah tied USC (8-4, 6-3) in the Pac-12 South Division but the Trojans advanced to the league title game by virtue of their 42-24 victory over the Utes. The Utes closed the regular season with a 20-14 victory over Colorado to reach the six-victory mark in the Pac-12 for the first time since joining the league in 2011. "We're in a building process here and it's another step forward," Utah coach Kyle Whittingham, whose team finished 5-4 in the league last season, said after the victory over Colorado. "We want to keep on an upward trajectory." While UW players get some time to rest and heal, Michigan State (11-1, 7-1) and Iowa (12-0, 8-0) are preparing to meet in the Big Ten title game Saturday in Indianapolis. The winner should secure a berth in the four-team College Football Playoff, with the loser likely heading to the Rose Bowl. Ohio State (11-1, 7-1) appears a lock to receive an at-large berth from the selection committee. Michigan (9-3, 6-2) appears headed to the Citrus Bowl. Northwestern (10-2, 6-2), which handed UW a 13-7 loss, is likely headed to the Outback Bowl. UW ended last season with a stirring 34-31 overtime victory over Auburn in the Outback Bowl. Athletic director Barry Alvarez coached the team after Gary Andersen stepped down and took the job at Oregon State. Chryst, hired to replace Andersen, watched the game from the stands. He is eager to get back onto the sideline for the bowl game. "You just maximize the days that we have together and get ourselves ready to take advantage of one more opportunity," he said. "And I appreciate that opportunity to play. I've really enjoyed getting to know this group. It will be sad to see – there is some substance leaving. And yet I think there is also some growing going on. "We get one more month and one more game and I'm very thankful for that." www.jsonline.com/sports/badgers/uw-likely-headed-to-holiday-bowl-in-san-diego-b99625335z1-359024251.html

Another former walk-on for the Wisconsin Badgers was among those who received All-Big Ten honors on Tuesday. Redshirt senior wide receiver Alex Erickson was named a first-team all-conference selection by the media, while earning second-team honors by the coaches. Erickson leads the Badgers in receptions and receiving yards with 72 catches for 924 yards. He's six catches away from tying another former walk-on, wide receiver Jared Abbrederis, for the school-record for all-time receptions in a collegiate career. A former option quarterback from Darlington, Wis., Erickson's been the consistent receiving threat for Wisconsin the past two seasons for UW quarterbacks. He's only 76 yards from being the fourth Badger to achieve 1,000 receiving yards in a season. www.buckys5thquarter.com/2015/12/1/9832932/wisconsin-football-news-alex-erickson-tyler-marz-all-big-ten

Ended the year on a high note w a win over USC. First win over the Trojans. Bowl offensive MVP was a walk-on, Bowl defensive MVP was a walk-on. 2015 was the year walk-ons. They led the team in passing, rushing, receiving and sacks/tackles for loss. 10-3 isn't all that bad. Started 4 RS freshmn on the O line which bodes well for next yr. Probably will lose their stellar DC, Dave Aranda. He's a gooden. If this was Aranda's last game at Wisconsin, this three-year run will be marked as one of the best defensive periods in school history. If he returns next year, he has a lot of talent coming back. Jack Cichy is a man-bear, As are the rest of the LBs. They'll need a QB next yr and a RB who isn't on the gimp. RB U isn't so much today. If Clement comes back healthy that would change. But they need bruiser and now. Does Ron Dayne have a son ready to go? On balance a successful yr for the first yr Wisky coach. They may even get ranked in the top 20.23-21
