since i became a cavs fan in '71, there've been years strike that decades, when the starting line up was nothing but back ups. but tonite, w/love already out, irving reinjuring his knee, tristan thompson slamming his shoulder on a great effort 3 pt play flipping over dunleavey... i've never seen a bunch of cleveland back ups play as well as they did tonite. lebron had just 15 (plus 11 assists and 9 boards), and the cavs were still up by double digits the entire 2nd half, at one point as much as 27. dellavedova had 19, smith had 12. jones had 9. all off the bench. thompson went 13 w/17 rebounds. shumpert also had 13. bulls only had 2 guys in double figures, rose had just 14 pts. he and butler shot a combined 15-38 from the field. from down 2-1 and down 10 in the 4th in game 4, cavs win 3 straight. im-pressive.

The first 5 minutes of the 3rd qtr was downright SCARY ! That darn ball just wouldn't go in the rim for either team ! I thought Mike Breen was gonna have a coronary ....After that, things just went from bad to VERY bad for the Bulls and when LeBron James winked at Scotty Pippin, he was givin us all advance notice that this one was a done deal
On a side note: I don't much care for Noah and no doubt this adds to my delight that the Cavs won
Other side note: The Bulls might now be w/o a coach

Congrats to the Cavs. The Bulls when they are on fire are OK. But other times..... Thankfully it appears the Kirk Hinrich era in Chicago is near its end. It certainly has run its course.

There might be an argument that within that 5 year period, a coach should have been able to develop more than just one star player in the pros, coaches don't develop players as much as manage them. getting stars on the team is the gm's role. i'm far from a thibodeau believer, and he didn't help himself at all in terms of developing a relationship w/his front office, but i still find it difficult to fault him for rose getting hurt so often.
