RIP Marques Haynes. One of Oklahoma's own. He was an interesting guy with great stories. Met him through an old basketball coach of mine. Marques used to make a lot of money hustling on the golf course. My coach used to hustle with him...still remember the story they told how they psyched out the opponents. My coach would drive the ball and Marques would say "damn, I've never seen a white man or a n***er hit a ball that far. Funny stuff. www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2015/05/22/harlem-globetrotter-great-marques-haynes-dies--89/27789797/

Only guy I've ever seen as good w a ball was Pete Maravich. Everyone today just carries the ball. Ol MJ started that shit.

The game of basketball changed forever the first time a ref allowed a cross-over, and the game has never been the same since. Only problem is, I'm not so certain I don't like the style of play today just as much. But I still yell out and call the foul at the TV on the really flagrant ones.
