But they got a split in the bay. Huge. Huge.

Hard for me to watch games...I forced myself, and did watch big chunks.

Hard for me to watch games...I forced myself, and did watch big chunks. when james got hacked on the baseline, after getting double-teamed late w/the shot clock running down, right in front of an official on the baseline, with no call, you had to wonder just what the ref was looking at during the play. it was obviously not the ball, and obviously not james' feet (he pretty plainly switched pivot feet, but it's well known that all prospective nba refs prone to calling traveling automatically fail their entrance exam to work in the league). jeff van gundy said during the broadcast something to the effect that he's never seen such a star player have fouls on him ignored, especially down the stretch. lebron got hit by at least 2 warriors (top of the key and at the basket) on his last drive in regulation, and green using james' shoulder as a lever on the jump ball play were two other times when the refs swallowed their whistles. no doubt he got his shared of questionable calls earlier in the game, and critics would say that things evened out at the end. but it sure was noticeable that the officials missed a few at key times. as for james' performance? he played point guard for the entire game. how often does your 1 go 39 pts/16 reb/11 assists?? that's 34 triple doubles in the playoffs for this guy. 1st all time by a mile (larry bird is 2nd w/13). his shooting did go downhill as the game went on, and he couldn't get the last shot in for the 2nd game in a row. in the playoffs the cavs have lost their #2 and #3 scoring options, after losing another key player early in the season and turning their roster almost completely over. daleko talked about the miles on james, and that's true. what's even more true is that this guy's back is going to give out, from having entire teams on it so often. one other note. matthew dellavedova played 42 minutes. 2nd on the cavs to james' 50 (out of a possible 53). he usually plays half that. he turned the ball over 6 times and scored just 9 points (including a crucial 3 and 2 ft's late). but he played the role of the annoying gnat flying around stephan curry's head. when delly was guarding curry, the mvp went 0-8, 0-5 on 3's, w/4 turnovers. for all the grinders out there, for all the people who couldn't see how a player like that (aaron craft comes to mind here too) could contribute in the nba, that was an example of how.

when i saw irving start limping during ot of game 1, my thoughts immediately went back to a couple weeks prior. when after irving sat out a couple games in the atlanta series and the cavs actually flew him down south to have dr. james andrews evaluate his knee. because, we all know, when dr. james andrews deems you healthy, good enough to play, that that is gospel. there's no way a knee that's had multiple injuries can be re-injured, or or complications can occur to other areas of that part of your body. dr. james andrews has deemed it so when his diagnosis = the ok to play. i personally think irving owes dr. andrews an apology for getting hurt again.

You forgot to mention that (apparently) J.R. Smith has decided to personally SCREW his own team with REDICULOUS fouls ! He needs to stay on the bench.....

I agree with the announcer about those calls. Once the defender leaves his feet, if the O-player jumps into him like Curry did, the foul should have been on Curry (and I DID NOT like the chicken)

I stopped watching the NBA a few years ago, mainly because of the crappy officiating.
As for J.R. Smith-- I used to watch him play for the Nuggets. he would have moments of brilliance-- nailing multiple 3 pointers down the stretch-- but also has a history of committing bone-headed fouls.
Smith has always been a talented head case.

Wow...Great game tonight__The best player on the planet out-dueled the MVP__Curry was 0 for 8 against Delly (w' 3 or 4 turnovers). It's killing Wilbon to acknowledge that..On to Cleveland Curry is really starting to rub me the wrong way in this series. He said after the game it was all a fluke and totally dissed Delly saying he's nothing special.

Just keep bouncing them back and lay it in. Be a paratrooper, you pay the price. Quid pro quo.
