LJ was trying to do it all by himself down the stretch there in Game Five. Needs a little help from his friends.
Kudos to the Warriors. Damn, Stephen Curry is nifty with that basketball.

__ No disagreement from me___Mosgov had zero pts. Back to Cleveland for game 6....The Warriors are winning the 4th qtr, They simply can keep it close and are deep down the bench. Losing Love in the Boston series really has hurt the Cavs in these past 2 losses

With a healthy roster, Cleveland would have easily won this series. Hell, I think they would have won with just Irving healthy, but we'll never know. Cleveland still has a chance and all, but if history is any guide the Warriors win in 6.

Cleveland still has a chance and all, but if history is any guide the Warriors win in 6. the 3 point shot has been in the nba for 35 years now, yet it's still so counter-intuitive for 99.9% of players to defend the 3 first, the 2 2nd. when curry started putting on his show in the last 5-6:00, dellavenova was on his heels trying to keep curry from driving to the hoop, when curry was really trying to just clear space for a 3 pt jumper. it's tough to force your instincts to get into his body way outside, and risk getting beat on the dribble. but that is what you have to do, especially when your foot speed doesn't match the guy you're trying to guard. easier said than done, obviously. curry was other-worldly down the stretch. the fact that the cavs won games 2 &3 (and arguably could/should have won game 1) is nothing short of amazing. but the warriors consistently winning the 4th qtr/ot tells you all you need to know. they have more bodies. w/love and irving out, cleveland had to have smith and shumpert step up their games to provide a consistent outside threat to give lebron more room when he has the ball, and they just haven't done it. smith teased us w/his 1st half last night, but his shot and his game disappeared in the 2nd. james going 40/14/11 is amazing enough... the fact that he got 11 assists w/the spotty offense his teammates on the floor generate may be the most remarkable of the 3 numbers. in the same way that kerr decided to do more double-teaming of james, i'm wondering if blatt should do the same w/curry. mix up some times where you try to trap him and force his supporting cast to score. the problem w/that, of course, is that curry's supporting cast is made up of better scorers than james' is. but with your back against the wall, you cannot let a team start raining 3's on you. that wasn't the only issue last night, either; the warriors got multiple offensive boards down the stretch to extend possessions (5 times i think) while getting out-rebounded in the 4th. blatt chose to keep mozgov on the bench to play the warriors' game of small ball, which i think was a strategic error. need to try and force them to play your game. i hope that's what the cavs do tomorrow night.

When did they change the format? I thought it was still 2 games, 3 games, 2 games. This travel from Cleveland to the Bay area & back with no extra days off is crazy, especially after the gap between games 1 & 2.

This travel from Cleveland to the Bay area & back with no extra days off is crazy, especially after the gap between games 1 & 2. nba brought that back last year. had been 2-3-2 since the mid 80s. some felt that gave the lower seeded team an undeserved advantage, hosting 3 straight games, but it did alleviate east-west travel woes. the format being used now had been in place since they started having 7 game finals, i believe, in the 50s. then the western-most team geographically was in minneapolis.

Man o man....gotta be tough to be a Cavs fan....
It's like the old joke: LaBron goes 41-14-11, and the question remains, "Yeah, so who won the game?"
