Great line by Minny TE Max Williams on an espn rookie show.... Williams, to his family, after receiving the call that he just got drafted: "I'm going to Baltimore." Grandma: "Who is the coach?" Williams: "Harbaugh....the nice one."

Williams: "Harbaugh....the nice one." Well, Shardale, I was rather taken aback at Harbaugh the Bad's departure from the 49ers. Everyone tells me that he's been known as an A-hole since his days at Stanford; but anyone with half a brain knows that that is in itself NO barrier to obtaining results on the field. His career at Stanford is the proof. OTOH, if he lets his A-holiness collide with the wrong people, i.e. the York family which owns the Niners....all bets are off obviously. One could probably write an interesting history of talented but supremely obnoxious people who have made their mark throughout history by masking this unpleasant trait from people who ranked above them, while giving it unbridled rein over those below with success. If both Meyer and Harbaugh continue coaching at their fullest CFB potential, Buckeye and Wolverine fans are looking at the Second Coming of Woody vs Bo. And the rest of us without a dog in this hunt can expect some real entertainment on the personality side as well. Those two should get along like a pair of scorpions in a bottle. :-) This is great news for a sport which has suffered I think over the past 5 years from the overglut of TV $$$ and the conference "realignments" which resulted. I am no blind idolator of tradition, but it is an important part of college football. Reinvigoration of a traditional rivalry which has become very lopsided is bad news for the program that has lately had things all their own way, but good news for everyone else. Vindex I Georgia Bulldogs

Vindex I Georgia Bulldogs I think he's too late on this one...Had he come after RichRod, before kids had forgotten that MissedAgain was relevant at one time, MAYBE. Or if we had a more easy-going, LLLLLLloyd Carr type in between to right the ship a bit. But I don't think he's the right guy with the right personality at this moment in time. An improvement up north would be NICE...both for the rivalry and the conference, BUT... Time will tell, but some of those fans of TSUN are going to be very disappointed, IMHO...

The last 2 cycles in the rivalry have been unusually long for a series where the swings have usually been only 3-5 years. Um going 10-2-1 from 88-00, OSU going 12-2 since. It will go back in um's favor at some point. I happen to think harbaugh will have success in aa. We've mentioned it here before; if OSU runs the table leading into the finale, talk of '69-act 2 will run rampant. Bucks are 4-1 the last 5 at um, the best road streak OSU has ever had in the series I believe. I would like to see it go 5-1 this year though before this turns around.

This was a topic yesterday ... 35-26-2 in my lifetime (in OUR favor)...with the exception of the Cooper years, I EXPECT us to be victorious. As long as we keep most of our kids at home, keep the fence up, the dominance should continue, even if not quite as lopsided.
