For those of you who don't follow Rocky Mountain sports-- probably everyone here-- John Elway and the Denver Broncos fired head coach John Fox last year, and brought in Baltimore's OC (and former Houston HC) Gary Kubiak to whip the team into shape. (Denver's DC, Jack Del Rio took the HC job at Oakland, and John Fox was hired as HC of the Chicago Bears.)
Fast forward to Week One of the 2015 NFL season. Peyton Manning and the new, revamped Broncos offense scored only 12 points against the Baltimore Ravens. (The only TDs in the game were pick sixes by Jimmy Smith (former Buff) and Aqib Talib-- final score 19-13.)
Two years ago, Peyton Manning and the Broncos broke the NFL record for the most passing TDs in a season. They were moving the ball at will most of the last two years, with a wide open passing game that included slot receiver Wes Welker, WR Demaryius Thomas, and WR Eric Decker.
Kubiak revamped the Broncos top-notch offensive line-- which had rarely allowed a sack of Peyton Manning in two years.
Now the Broncos have NO running game-- ZILCH-- and Peyton Manning was getting clobbered by Baltimore all afternoon. C.J. Mosley sacked Manning twice in the first half alone.
The moral of the story? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, dumbasses...
"Uh, Peyton. We're going to upgrade our offense by having you take more big hits." "O.K., John, whatever it takes to get these ponies moving..."

With his skooky neck, I am not sure how many hits Peyton can take.

The Broncos are playing the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium tomorrow night on Thursday Night Football.
I have a sense of foreboding about Peyton Manning surviving the 2015 season in one piece.
If Denver's O-line looks as bad tomorrow night as they looked on Sunday, Gary Kubiak should pull Manning out of the game ASAP to prevent a serious neck injury.
One guy who looked great in Denver's pre-season games was Northwestern rookie QB Trevor Simien-- but he is currently the #3 guy behind former AZ State QB Brock Osweiler.
