Tribe pounds white sox 12-1. Cody Anderson gives up 1 run in 6 2/3, Carlos Santana smacks a grand slam in the 5th, Lindor gets another dinger, he and Brantley both get 3 hits. Lindor is now batting .319.
Meanwhile the Astros stay ice cold, losing to Seattle 3-1. 3 games out, 16 to go. That light in the tunnel seems to be getting a little bigger, and closer.

Didn't catch the game last night live. Fell behind 4-1, johnsons hr in the 9th makes it 4-3. Than almonte gets picked off first to end it. Tough tough loss. So for the 4th time in a week the tribe lost immediately after getting to .500. 4 out w 15 left. A must win today vs Chicago. That light in the tunnel seems farther away today. Lol

Tomlin is starting...he's been on lately, hasn't he? Since returning from shoulder surgery he's 5-2. Tribe up 3-0 in the 5th. Tribe wins 6-3. Tonkin goes 5 2/3 shutout innings for the win. He's 6-2 in 7 starts this year. 2.43 era. He's pitched 5 times after an Indians loss, and he's 5-0 in thiose starts. He wasn't sharp but he was good enough. Chisenhall had a double and a dinger. So, back to .500 at 74-74. Houston beat Oakland 5-1 today. Still 4 games out. Off day tomorrow before 3 games in Minnesota. Pretty good day in downtown Cleveland with the Browns winning today 28-14. |
