but i still love watching all of them, and cfb is tops. i wish i'd kept all the crap i do during the seasons... started saving it about 25 years ago. sitting at the bottom of the bookshelf her in my den, right next to this book from some oklahoma kicker back in the 70s. since i travel a lot for work, it gives me something else to do besides company stuff at airports and hotels. i think its fun... jodi rolls her eyes at me a lot this time of year. actually she does that most of the year, but at least during the fall i know why. but she at least tolerates the football seasons, and i try to make up for it the other 8 months by not charting any other sports. A personalized, autographed book. thought you'd notice that.

It's all about the history and the odds. Plus, I usually check stats. Dang, and I don't know shit about football. Oh well, Lee taught me... not my fault. It is your fault for picking Lee as a teacher. Look at his track record for Pete's sake!!!! Oh I have, hence the reason I look elsewhere. But what he taught me was 10 years ago.. The rest is my own learning... Kinda like fishing.

last night was a perfect night imho showing why laying some $$ on games can be a crap shoot. i have kentucky +2 1/2. i watched them throw a pick in the endzone in the first half, and drop a td pass late in the 3rd qtr. they lose 30-27. i have atlanta -4 at new orleans. the falcons dominate the first half, but give away two fumbles inside the saints 20, then have a punt blocked and run in for a td. you look at the stats and it could be 17-7 or 24-7. but it's 7-14 at the half. halfway thru the first qtr of ucla-stanford, the cardinal had run, i think, 5 plays for about 15 yards, but led 14-3 thanks to a pick 6 and a 95 yard kickoff return setting up a 4 yd td pass. su probably would have won/covered anyway, but that sure did help out of the blocks. each game, turnovers and special teams directly created or denied scoring opportunities that helped turn the game in my case, it turned each of them the wrong direction. lol.

The parts of the UK game my wife would let me watch, it looked like UK was outplaying AU. I'm glad AU won as it gives UF a nice cushion in the SEC East, but I was worried the wildcats were going to win. I saw this AM that Muschamp's defense gave up right at 500 yards. That's pretty amazing, but this really is a decent wildcat team for a change. Mike Stoops is doing a good job in Lexington.
Mark, I feel for you. The UCLA at Stanford game was so pathetic that I finally had to turn it off. I normally like PAC games, but this game didn't stand up to the tall standards that it should have. It didn't help that I took UCLA either.
