Looking forward to a great series. I think the Mets have the pitching to win it but KC can hit the ball with the best of them so it won't be an easy task. And if KC's staff is on their game again, that will make it twice as difficult.
Either way, Let's Go Mets!
Any friendly wagers, Darrell? Sig line, charity, whatever. Just let me know.

Since the Mets swept the Cubs__They were able to set up their rotation. I'm surprised Collins didnt go with DeGrom in game 1
Game 1: Matt Harvey Game 2: Jacob DeGrom Game 3: Noah Syndergaard Game 4: Steven Matz

It should be a fun series. I'm still shocked we made it back to the Series two years in a row. Saw a match up today comparing positions between the teams. Gave the Royals Catcher, 1B, SS, LF, CF, Bullpen and Closer. Mets Starting Pitching, 2B (mainly on the power vs Zobrist for KC), 3B and RF. For the Royals I think the series hings on Cueto. I have no idea what pitcher shows up when he goes to the mound. If he is solid, it helps a lot. Ventura and Volqeuz are pitching well and Chris Young would probably get a game four start. Royals are the best fastball hitting team in MLB and the Mets guys are flame throwers so that match up is power vs power. Haven't seen the Mets much but I assume the KC defense is better as it has been the best or close to the best in the league for 2 or 3 years now. And Bucky, if you want to do a sig line thing, I'm good with that.

I'm still in nj (have a couple mtgs tomorrow) but when we were in nyc yesterday before heading down to Rutgers, rest assured that met fever is alive and well in the tri-state. It was the dominant topic on sports radio, even more than the jets-pats game. On our the way to the game we even heard Jerry Seinfeld call in to wfan to talk about the series.

KC is a good FB hitting team and the Mets are.... KC in 6. I'd rather in four. These crazy comebacks are too nerve racking. Interesting note, with Ben Zobrist wife expecting anytime now, he may not be available for one or two games. To compensate, the Royals have decided to activate the top prospect in the system, Raul Mondesi Jr. and deactivate pinch running specialist Terrance Gore. Carrying an extra infielder, Mondesi has a better bat by far than Gore and is very fast as well, just not as fast as Gore is (not many are). The interesting part, if he plays, he will be the first player ever to make his major league debut in the World Series.

Talk about crappy luck. Volquez finds out his dad died today warming up to start the game.

Royals baseball is not good foxy heart. Five hours, fourteen innings and a one run game. Congrats. I couldn't make it to the end but I see the KC bullpen was stellar, as expected. After scraping together the run in the 8th, the Royals gave up only two hits over the next 6. Impressive. On to game 2...

After scraping together the run in the 8th, the Royals gave up only two hits over the next 6. Impressive. On to game 2... I thought the game was over when Hos made only his fifth error of the year to allow them to take the late lead, but Gordo comes through again with the big home run off Familia. Chris Young and his 88 mph fastball shut NY down for three innings and Hosmer ends it with a sac fly in the 14th. Truly one of the best Series games ever. I was wishing Dysons liner to right center that Granderson just got the running catch on had just gotten over his glove. We might have seen an inside the park homer start and end the first game. Dys was already around first when he made the catch.
