Tough to get a good angle on it but I agree with Harold Reynolds, Yost should have challenged the play at first that drew Hosmer off the bag in the 4th. If this turns into a one-run win for the Mets, that will debated quite a bit tomorrow.

Tough inning for deGrom as his slider was as flat as could be. The Royals' two-strike hitting is ridiculous, too. Not sure we have the bats to get back in this thing now but never say never.

I hope not. <g> Saw a gif on Twitter of the play at first. I think he's out but it's so close I doubt they would have overturned it on challenge. KC has that clubhouse review before challenge down about as well as anyone so they must have thought the same thing. Freaking DeGrom has omega kind of stuff.

7-1 KC in the 9th. Feeling pretty good right now. Did Pete Rose go to the John Kruk school of broadcasting physique. Jeez Pete, take a pass on the donuts.

I remember him being on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the title "The First $100,000 a Year Singles Hitter" back in the 1960's. He's had a pretty hard life since he was banned. Let him eat his donuts and enjoy them <g>.

I've never seen a mlb game, let alone a World Series game, where a team put the bat on the ball as often as the royals did last night. Unreal how many pitches got fouled off, how many were put into play. Like death from a thousand paper cuts. Impressive. One other thing. Harold Reynolds and Ron darling have been outstanding in providing spot-on analysis in these first two games. Have enjoyed and been enlightened by their perspectives.

I have always enjoyed Harold Reynolds and am glad to see him back on high profile assignments after ESPN let him go. As for Darling, he is pretty decent. As far as former Mets go, he is light years better than Keith Hernandez as a commentator, that much is certain.

I'm within 7 now and no longer do. He's always made enough money and today earns about 1,000,000 a yr. He'll always be Charlie Hustle.

DeGrom threw 97 pitches and got three swing and misses. Usually he's in the twenty range on that many pitches. Now I'm just hoping for two more wins. Gotta keep the line moving.
