Georgia brought Devon Gale and his family to Athens Saturday. Devon was made an honorary Dawg and was on the sidelines in Georgia gear. Devon is the Southern University player that suffered a severe spinal injury earlier in the season. He is still undergoing treatment at Shepherd Spinal Clinic in Atlanta, and Georgia fans and coaches visit him regularly to wish him a great recovery.

That's an awesome thing to hear, and Georgia remains classy.
I'm sure it was on local news, but I miss that a lot, too. Too many crimes in the hood to report on.

www.ajc.com/news/sports/college/uga-fans-gift-devon-gales-new-house/nqXyz/Gales was released from Atlanta’s Shepherd Center on Wednesday and the family was uncertain how it was going to handle the new challenges awaiting them in a three-bedroom house that had not yet been modified for handicap accessibility. Gales, who played defensive back and special teams for Southern University when he suffered a paralyzing injury on Sept. 26, found out during a news conference that the Triumph over Tragedy Foundation is in the process of raising funds to build the Gales’ fully-handicap-accessible house in Baton Rouge, La.

Great update. It's especially nice to know he continues to have feelings in his lower extremities. His attitude is right so there is hope for him to someday walk again.
The foundation building his family a new handicap assessable home is outstanding.
