Cueto turns down $120 million for six years at Arizona and the next day David Price gets $31 million a year for seven years from Boston. Salaries have literally gone into orbit.

He immediately started swatting imaginary flies swirling around the pitching mound in his back yard.

He immediately started swatting imaginary flies swirling around the pitching mound in his back yard. He was seen at WAL-MART buying a case of 'OFF' <g>KC attempted a reclamation of Joba toward the end of the season. Signed him and sent him to AAA Omaha and he got lit up there. Brought him up to the big club to work with the pitching guru Dave Eiland. For whatever reason, and I've studied pitching a lot over the years, he is one of those guys with a bazooka arm who simply has no idea where the ball is going when it leaves his hand. He is living proof to the belief that just throwing 100 mph doesn't cut it. Major league hitters will time any fastball if it doesn't have movement. I am not sure if that holds true for over one hundred. I saw a video on youtube a while back labeled the fastest pitch in MLB history. It was Aldoris Chapman throwing a 106 mph fastball to a Pittsburg hitter and frankly it was just scary. But guys like Chamberlain just don't seem to have the control or the necessary movement.
