started school at OSU jan 02, got suspended early 03, and sued to enter the draft....maybe 15 months total after HS. |

Been a while, but I thought he played in 2002, got suspended for 2003 and after sitting out, sued to be included in the upcoming NFL draft...i.e. 2 years out of high school. Could be wrong, but that is the way I recall it.

Although this is getting ready to change, at NFL Ops, here is the criteria... "To be eligible for the draft, players must have been out of high school for three years and must have used up their college eligibility before the start of the next college football season. Underclassmen and players who have graduated before using all their college eligibility may request the league’s approval to enter the draft early." This may have been re-worded itself. I remember the wording used to involve the HS CLASS. Maybe that changed due to so many players graduating & starting school early...(a la Clarett). he sued the nfl in sept '03. correct.....after he tried getting in months earlier. The lawsuit wasn't his first action to enter well, since the nfl rules forbade him to enter the draft, and nobody in nyc was about to change that, what else did he/his lawyers do in terms of action? what else could they do? i don't remember anything of any consequence until filing the legal papers to change it, not too long after osu began the '03 season. |

12/28/15 texas bowl lsu -7 vs texas tech TTechunless you're fingering LSU not being able to stop the TT offense, this game was made for LSU. It's possible the TT offense can move the ball through the air with ease......it's possible the LSU RB has enough yards in the first half to cement a 1st or 2nd round pick and comes up "gimpy" in the second half with a bad case of proitis. However, this game was hand picked for LSU. ESPN saw how bad they picked the bowl matches for the sEC west last year, and they certainly don't want a repeat. Hey Walt.............was just tryin to help a bro with this when i first posted it. ESPN didn't want the same results as last year....H A N D - P I C K E D this one. TT should have been playing one of the 5-7 teams, not one that can breath and blink at the same time. |
