After scoring that last second TD in Arizona, should the Packers have gone for 2?
If they made the 2 points, they'd be playing in the NFC Championship game this weekend.
Instead, they never got the ball back.

In a word, no. What the packers should have done is teach the official how to actually flip a coin. Jeez

What the packers should have done is teach the official how to actually flip a coin. Jeez I'd vote for not leaving Larry Fitzgerald wide open. On a separate note, have to say I really don't understand the NFL OT rules. If the other teams kicks a FG, you have a chance to answer, but if they score a TD, you don't?

First, my grandson & I were talking about that last night...I'm STILL yelling at Clay Matthews for being within arm's length, and not making a better attempt than an arm wave... Second, that play, and in the Bronco's game when Manning fell down, and the Pitt D thought he'd been sacked...especially for defensive players, ALWAYS go 100% until you hear the whistle...

well, palmer was rolling to his right to escape pressure. usually db's will just drift that direction too, so i wasn't surprised that fitz was open. but they also missed 3 tackles on him and one of the lb's (ryan?) took an awful angle leaving him without even a shot to bring him down. what a bizarre game... palmer and the cardinals did just about everything they could to let the packers steal it away.

A lot of things they could have done differently but GB doesn't own a time machine. Your Q leads to the option of losing or trying something different if they did own a time machine. If they did, going for two is the only other option.

Rogers wanted to change it but they wouldn't give him that option, supposedly. Must be covered somewhere in the rules for coin flips by the NFL.

Same for offensive players, The Peyton Manning play, for example. and the play that won Auburn the BCS NC.
