I have a hunch that the AFC Championship game in Denver this afternoon will be Peyton Manning's last football game.
This new-fangled Gary Kubiak offense in Denver has never worked for Peyton this year, and we might be watching an NFL re-enactment of the Battle of Little Bighorn.
Among other things, Kubiak is over-matched in his showdown with Bill Belichick, who is, perhaps, the greatest coach in NFL history, IMO.
Wade Phillips has had a lot of success with Denver's 3-4 defense this year, but most people don't know that Bill Belichick was an assistant defensive coach for Joe Collier's "Orange Crush" 3-4 Denver defense in 1978. If anyone understands the strengths and weaknesses of the 3-4, it's Belichick. And the guy usually comes up with novel ways to win big games.
We'll see...

the denver defense has been fantastic all day long especially in the 4th when the pats lived in the broncos end of the field. brady just hit gronk for a td to make it 20-18. they've pounded brady all day long.

Yes, Mark, the Broncos defense has carried the team all year, and they've won a lot of squeakers in 2015-16. Von Miller and the "D" played their best game of the year, IMO, but Brady still almost pulled off another come back with 12 seconds in the game.
Frankly, I was surprised that the Broncos' defense was so effective against the Patriots today. As I mentioned last week, I thought the Patriots would hang 31 points on Denver today, with Edelman and Amendola back in the game. I noticed that Belichick was sending his RB White down the field in 1:1 coverage against our LBs all day-- but Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan did a great job in pass coverage. Derek Wolfe also had a helluva game.
Kubiak's play-calling has been horrible this year, and today was no exception. The guy has the strategic imagination of a brain-injured Aggie.

I wanted to see Roby take it to the house for 2...great play. He'll have to cover Ginn or Brown in 2 weeks

He's a Kubiak guy-- played at Houston and Baltimore with Kubes-- who was brought to Denver this year, and has become an important part of Denver's passing game.
We lost our big Badger RB, Montee Ball, during the pre-season. Not sure what happened to the guy.
BTW, I've never had anything against Wisconsin. I just like to give you a hard time.

Never took it any other way. Ball hit his Peter Principle. Daniels was a pretty good QB Wisky recruited back a bit. One of the most talented and athletic multi role QBs to come out of Chicago area, back when. Had a knee injury and moved him to TE during the, wait for it, practice leading up to Alamo Bowl V Col.

I try not to remember that Alamo Bowl. I do recall that Wisconsin's QB completed a desperation 4th-and-19 pass at the end of the game to set up the TD that sent the game to OT. Perhaps it was Owen Daniels who caught that pass.
