...and finally for today...
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; February 21, 2016 -- No. 1 Penn State (16-0, 9-0 B1G) took care of No. 2 Oklahoma State (13-3) on Sunday to win the 2016 NWCA National Dual Championship Series title. Head coach Cael Sanderson's squad took down the Cowboys 29-18 in front of yet another sold out Rec Hall crowd.

The only program in the SEC that has wrestling is Mizzou. They brought that with them from the Big 12. I'm not sure how they participate if in a conference, but they could be like UF and Vandy who have women's lacrosse teams that participate in other conferences.
I don't know why I'm remembering that UF had wrestling back in the 70s and 80s, but I don't recall it ever being a sport the SEC has participated in. Maybe the SEC should? I'm wondering if Title IX has anything to do with it as the only new sports that have been added in the SEC have been women's sports.

Title IX killed a lot of mens' sports... but I can understand why wrestling wouldn't be all that popular in Florida. All the heat & humidity, hard to get a good grip on that elbow.

I know the "Ill-mannered-puppies" of Michigan feel like they "almost won" that match, but a 24-11 beatdown is not as close as they'd like to think. VT won 7 of 10 matches, as they had done, more or less, with every other ranked team they faced in the last month. Penn State has to be looking at that performance and thinking..."We're glad we got them at the start of the season when they were down a couple of guys." I was really happy with the results.....we punched McChicken in the nuggets and ate their lunch.
