www.cleveland.com/moviebuff/index.ssf/2016/03/fantastic_believeland_digs_dee.htmlthis could go on any of the pro sports boards, but baseball is near the top so i'm putting it here. this film debuts up in cleveland on 3/31 and i think airs on espn in mid may. for those of us who've lived thru everyone of these dramatic losses, mixed within a sports history that been more down than up since the late 70s, i don't know if i want to relive them all or not. at least it will show these guys are human... not caricatures.

game 7 vs the marlins__losing on Edgar Renterias' rbi single up the middle hurts the most_____I would recommend to Cdub that he not watch this |

Marlins won to go up 3-2 but the tribe battled back to win game 6 in Miami. I think that's the only time a team had the lead going into the 9th of a game 7 and lost the game/series. Ugh. But for me byner's fumble was worse. Bernie and the brownies were unstoppable in the 2nd half, and Ernest was in his way into the endzone to tie up the game in an epic comeback only to have castille, who had no chance of tackling him, poke the ball out. That play broke a lot of hearts. Nobody played with more passion than Ernest byner. Hated seeing that happen to him. |
