Clay Thompson will be starting for Golden State tonight in the BBall playoffs. Meanwhile, his brother Trayce hit a walk-off home run last night to give the Dodgers the win.
Mychal Thompson must be one, proud papa.

The old man was a monster in the B1G. no kidding. the gophers were like trying to shoot thru sequoias in thompson's day. he and kevin mchale were teammates as seniors (my freshman year at osu) and i was sitting in the first row of the bleachers behind one of the baskets for home games that season. 6'10 really looked, uh, tall. lol. some pretty good hoops in the league that year. sparty was the champ, a year before they'd beat bird/indiana state for the ncaa title. they had magic and kelser and vincent, indiana had woodson and tolbert. michigan had a kid, mike mcgee, who was a great shooter, plus the bodnar twins from barberton who i played against in a scrimmage in hs and would later become starters there. purdue had joe barry carroll, and osu had kelvin ransey and that promising freshman class eldon miller recruited, including herb williams, carter scott, todd penn, jim smith, kenny page and marquis miller, who never quite lived up to expectations. but back to thompson... what an incredible athletic family legacy.
