Fred does. I can't stand the bloody things! Sardines slathered in Tobasco.

I do. I do. What's even better is a sardine-Tobasco and oatmeal casserole. (Makes a delicious breakfast).

Sardines are good, but not nearly as good as Mackerel.

Prepare the oatmeal with less water than the cooking directions indicate. The oatmeal will be thick, not soupy. Add savory ingredients such as seasoned salt, black pepper, etc. Add Tobasco or Louisiana hot sauce, to taste. Add sardines and mix well. This also works for shrimp, crab, salmon, etc. Think of the oatmeal as a side dish with uses similar to rice, grits, etc. Ever have shrimp and grits? Yum.

I may try something along this line, though with McCann's steel cut, not rolled oats. www.cooks.com/recipe/wp24d6vg/oats-and-sardine-salad.html

Not as disgusting and vile as that 'person' who posted that garbage here in my thread and in my prayer request thread, Coal.
