just read the box score & Play by play on MSN Sports. Some EXCITEMENT...great ending. Back to back walk off wins. Kc was 27-0 this year with a lead after the 8th inning. But naquin got a 2 out rbi single in the 8th and the tribe pushed across 2 in the 9th thanks to Santana's single, lindor's triple (helped out by a bad decision in the royal outfield to try making a diving catch) and napoli's sac fly. 5-4 win. Good way to start the series. Carrasco made his first start in 6-7 weeks and looked decent, gave up 3 runs in 5 innings but 2 hr's. |

Good comeback by the Tribe. Royals played uncharacteristically bad defense, but this game was lost two night ago when Scott Alexander could not close out Tampa Bay with a six run lead, forcing Wade Davis to pitch that night. Otherwise he pitches the 9th last night and I like our chances.

He had pitched something like 3 days in a row and 4 of 5. Usually 3 in a row is the max for him.

Another great game by the Tribe. I cannot remember the Royals ever knocking out Salazar and Volquez seems to have some sort of mental block with the Indians. Cleveland locked up a split. Hopefully Kennedy and Young can come through for KC and get a split out of the series the next two games.

Hopefully Kennedy and Young can come through for KC and get a split out of the series the next two games. Going to take quite a comeback for kc to win game 3 tonite. Tribe leading 5-0 in the 7th. Josh Tomlin has pitched a gem to date. 5 hits and a walk with 4 k's. Napoli got his 13th HR and naquin hit his 2nd career dinger, both this week, in a 4 run 6th. Tribe Is wearing retro unis from '76. I believe this is the 40th anniversary of the infamous 10 cent beer night vs Texas that got way way out of hand at the old stadium. |

Was hoping for a split with the Royals this weekend. ..glad to get at least 3 of 4 since the Royals have got the better of the Tribe the past 2 years..Had the Royals come into Cleveland and swept the Tribe this weekend, Cleveland goes 6.5 games back for which they would spend the rest of the summer trying to crawl back in...

7-0 final. one of the bigger 4 game sweeps in the last couple decades for the tribe. kubler went 6 giving up just 2 hits/0 runs. after a 3 hr rain delay, he didn't return. mcalister pitched 2 no-hit innings... a welcome surprise... and adams mopped up. ndians outscored 25-6 in the 4 game series, 20-2 in the last 3 games. quite encouraging.  |
