That's ACC refs. Have they ever been any good? From my watching experience, I say no.

Dumbo goes off on ACC refs - Big fine to follow Karma is a bitch after you lose at home and you know you've been robbed. November 29, 2003; The Swindle In The Swamp; FSU 38 UF 34 October 29, 2016; The Swindle On Ron Zook Field; Clemson 37 FSU 34 The only thing is that I saw a couple of very questionable pass interference calls against Clemson that extended FSU drives and the refs did nothing to aid Clemson's game winning drive or Clemson's late stop to win the game. The game winning drive argument worked in 2003 so it works in 2016 too. Again, karma is a bitch after you lose at home when you know you've been robbed: New Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says he doesn't care if he gets fined, but there were some things he wanted to speak on regarding the officiating in Saturday night's 37-34 loss to Clemson. The lead changed hands three times in the final quarter of another instant classic between the ACC Atlantic rivals. Penalties had a huge impact on the game, a sign of miscues in a huge game and some judgement calls by the officials that are getting questioned on Sunday morning. Jimbo Fisher was riding the officials throughout the second half, but after the game, he said a chop block penalty that brought back a 50-yard run by Dalvin Cook was not only wrong, but caused a huge swing in momentum in the game. "It's ridiculous, it's not a chop, it was not a chop. And I'm going to tell you what, you hold coaches accountable, players accountable, hold the damn officials accountable. It's garbage. And then to call another penalty on the sideline is even more garbage. It's cowardly, it's gutless, and wrong," Fisher told reporters after the game. "Now they can take it, fine it, do whatever they want to do with it, that's a fact. Look at the film. It's ridiculous that they do it. That was a huge call in the game. Now, [we] still had chances to win the game after that. That's ridiculous and the guy wasn't even in position to make it and plus it was 10 yards down the field so the penalty should have been marked from there, not from the line of scrimmage ..." www.cbssports.com/college-fo...ficials-after-florida-states-loss-to-clemson/www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...officials-clemson-penalty-20161029-story.html

There should be an age limit on these officials, if there is, they should lower it to around 55. If more coaches would make a stand on lousy officiating maybe some changes would ensue

You don't have a clue what it means to come up on the short end of the stick with refs. Insofar as what Dumbo did, it's bush league. All of this should have been handled in private between FSU and the supervisor of ACC refs/ACC commish. Airing dirty laundry in public is a no no. Dumbo will get a hefty fine. To top it off, look for the ACC refs to give NC State a couple of home field no calls next week. Dumbo's actions are a good prescription for turning a 3 loss team into a 4 loss team.

As I've been saying, the officiating was extremely poor. I personally think the bullshit blocking call was a more pivotal call, as it negated a huge run that would have set up FSU to go up by 11 or 15 points, but they absolutely missed that face mask too. Not to mention some ridiculous holding..although it is sometimes tougher to deal with the holding calls.

The tide was #1 in the league in fewest penalty yards from 2011-2014. You didn't list 2016 to date, but I'd bet the tide is close to the top of the league in fewest penalties. Again, you don't have a clue what it's like to get hosed by refs. Look at UT. The vols don't either. Bama and UT are the most favored teams by the refs in relation to the other top teams in the SEC. It's way past time to go with out of region for refs and to get the SEC the hell out of that bama stronghold in Birmingham.

I was surprised to see BAMA lead the league in penalties in 2015 honestly If you have some sort of proof that the league officials are favoring BAMA I'd like to see it. Agreed. Some egregious calls made and not made that affected the outcome of the game. I hate to see a huge game like that decided by the zebras-- one way or the other.
It's one reason that I stopped watching the NBA.

Or maybe you're crying because you aren't used to seeing a disciplined focused team on the field.(Unless you're watching someone other than the gators) BAMA had the most penalty yards in the SEC last year and still managed to win the league and the CFP. Penalties are a thorn in Saban's side, he hates unforced errors. So it only makes sense that BAMA would be penalized less. It's a point of emphasis at practice. I was surprised to see BAMA lead the league in penalties in 2015 honestly If you have some sort of proof that the league officials are favoring BAMA I'd like to see it. Your opinion doesn't count as fact, facts do. You posted the facts above that prove it. However, you can go back much further than the past 5 years and it will always be the same. My opinion formed over time is all that counts. If you want to show me those same stats over the last 50 years, I'd be happy to consider a change in my opinion based on such evidence provided. The facts I posted proved:
1) BAMA was NOT favored by the refs in 2015 2) Uf has led the league in penalties over the last 5 years. IOW, you're crying about your undisciplined and picking out one of the least penalized and claiming the refs are on their side. 3) BAMA has actually been flagged more than Uf in 2016www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/penalties-per-game

I proved my point over a lengthy time period. If you want to influence my opinion, you'll have to do the same with the penalty information. Otherwise save your unenlightened effort. I can't/won't be swayed without long term facts that support your supposition. You need to learn to read charts better too. In 2016, UF has 7.9 penalties per game compared to bama's 6.2.
