This was the last game Louisville had to make a statement in the regular season. And they did, so that's nice for them.

Houston knows how to stop that up tempo game, since they run it themselves. FSU does not. That much is clear. Couldn't stop Houston, Louisville, Ole Miss, USF, UNC, or Clemson. We just happened to be able to outscore a couple of those teams.

Alabama looks like a definite #1, but we still don't really know how the Big Ten champ will measure up to the Tide in 2016.
We do know that Wisconsin beat LSU, and that Michigan and Ohio State beat Wisconsin.

We do know that Wisconsin beat LSU, and that Michigan and Ohio State beat Wisconsin. Mich lost to Iowa who lost to Wisky who lost to Mich. Time of the year, injuries and underclassmen development enter. Also comparative schemes. And that's why comparative scores, though helpful, aren't exact. USC, today, might have as good of as chance as any. Bama recruits talented depth across the board. Three deep. LSU who has as much talent, maybe more on D, just ran lean. Meat, tOSU also recruit talented depth, though young. Wisky has to develop their talented depth and they are young. But on any given game day you never know. It's all about rotating talented bodies.

Agreed. Comparative scores aren't always very helpful. Too many variables-- injuries, site, turnovers, blocked punts, individual match ups, etc.
Comparative STATS may be more useful, but are still of limited predictive value because of the multiple variables on a given day.
Obviously, some teams get better as a season goes on, (e.g., USC, Washington State) and other get worse-- sometimes as a result of injuries to key players (e.g., Michigan.)

Damn!! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? As I've pointed out to you two dildographers several times, what else do you really have to go on for your rankings-- if not comparative stats and scores?
Get a clue. You guys don't like comparative data, because it pokes holes in the NCAA rankings scam.
Without comparative stats and scores, the rankings are mostly about money, media, politics, and geography.
If you study my thread about where CFB forum members' teams are located, you will recall that this forum has only one member whose team is in the Mountain Time Zone, and one whose team is in the Pacific Time Zone.
It would be interesting to see the stats about prime time football coverage in the mainstream national sports media.
