Iowa definitely has history on their side, but I haven't read/heard too much about them yet. Of course, part of that is because it's still football season.

They creamed Iowa State last night, I think they are rated 2nd or 3rd. Brands will have them going after the National title again. Penn State has been really tough since they got Sanderson away from Iowa State. 2 of my grandsons won their tournaments this weekend, one of them had 3 pins, all under 2 minutes. The other had one pin and two decisions, their dad, my son, is their coach and he also coaches high school wrestling. He and my other son were both stud wrestlers in HS. 3 times for state for both of them, with 5 times places winners. I also have a nephew who is a 2 time state champ in Iowa, he is also a head wrestling coach, kind of runs in the family, great sport.
