As I have said during the past few months, one of the few good things that may result from Trump's election is an end to the CIA/NATO/Mossad/Saudi/ISIS destabilization of Syria-- and a U.S. rapprochement with Russia.
Attempting to overthrow Saddam Hussein, Qaddafi, and Assad was never really in the best interests of the United States.
It was a costly, misguided Neocon strategy from the beginning.
