Walter makes a good point. In addition there are ravens. There is no consistent distinction between "crows" and "ravens", and these appellations have been assigned to different species chiefly on the basis of their size, crows generally being smaller than ravens.

Damn....Crows are big birds. Ravens are BIGGER? There's a group of about 100 crows that live in some giant Magnolia trees behind my office. I hear them all day. Really interesting birds to watch. |

We have a murder of crows here that like to hang out and walk around the street and driveway in front of my kitchen. Really interesting to see how they interact and talk to each other. Long-lived, very intelligent birds. |
