Gotta be hard to know if you are draining a swamp if you can't measure the water level.
New House rules specifically forbid the CBO from scoring the cost to the budget of repealing Obamacare. Now why do you think they would do such a thing? Any ideas?

It's in the newly passed, "Rules of the House", House Res. 5, pages 25-26. It talks about how all bills over 5 billion MUST be scored by CBO, and then specifically bars scoring of any bill that repeals the ACA. Strange, aint it? Or...not so strange.

Probably because there ARE no bills to repeal ACA. Contrary to Democrat LIES, no one is going to yank the rug out from under the poor folks. Changes WILL be made, but gradually, and they will be for the good. Sit back, relax, and start breathing again. All the little snowflakes are still safe for now.
Unlike spendthrift Dems, the Trump administration WILL work to keep costs in gov't down.

I will bet you a nickel that if the Republicans retain control of Congress, the yearly budget deficits will be higher every single year for the next 4 years than this year's deficit.

I wonder if the Republicans don't want to score the repeal of the ACA because last time the idea was scored we discovered that repeal would increase the deficit by 137 billion dollars.
Ya think?

(2) POINT OF ORDER.—It shall not be in order to consider any bill or joint resolution reported by a committee, or amendment thereto or conference report thereon, that would cause a net increase in direct spending in excess of $5,000,000,000 in any of the 4 consecutive 10-fiscal year periods described in paragraph (1). (3) DETERMINATIONS OF BUDGET LEVELS.—For purposes of this subsection, the levels of net increases in direct spending shall be determined on the basis of estimates provided by the chair of the Committee on the Budget. (4) LIMITATION.—This subsection shall not apply to any bill or joint resolution, or amendment thereto or conference report thereon- (A) repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and title I and subtitle B of title II of the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010;(B) reforming the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010; or(C) for which the chair of the Committee on the Budget has made an adjustment to the allocations, levels, or limits contained in the most recently adopted concurrent resolution on the budget. www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-resolution/5

Even if the changes are "made gradually", they still won't be scored by the CBO.... I think we can all guess why they don't want to see that....

We have to conclude that for Republicans, 137 is less than 5.

Bottom line...repeal of the ACA will not be scored. Your job is to explain why that is a good thing.
