LSU basketball sucks. It always has. Basketball itself is boring.
I'm ready for baseball season.

LSU basketball sucks. It always has. Basketball itself is boring.
I'm ready for baseball season. Baseball is coming soon. UF has added some hitting to go with the pitching and defense so I expect the Gators to be in the thick of things in SEC play and nationally again. UF's women gymnastics is 2-0 and looking good, definitely a Super 6 type of team. LSU is right there too along with bama. The Gators beat 14th ranked Kentucky in the SEC. Back to basketball, I watched some of the bama at LSU game. Your tigers looked good for 34 minutes. They'll be a good team when they can play 40 minutes. They don't have the talent to go on walk about during a game. They quit playing with about 6 minutes left in what had been a close game. I also watched some of the Ole Miss at USC game. USC is plenty good, but they have an achilles heel, turnovers. UF is good at forcing turnovers. If the gamecocks play like they did against Ole Miss, the Gators will win a close SEC road game. Road wins are always hard to come by. I noticed the officials were allowing the gamecocks to be more physical with the body and hand checking against the rebs. If the officials swallow their whistles against the gamecocks, the game will be very close. The best I can hope for is the officials at least make the calls both ways. I'm not opposed to a physical game, just want it called evenly.

I'm not opposed to a physical game, just want it called evenly. LSU has always lost games because of free throws. That's one thing that is constant about them. Other than Pete Maravich, I have never seen an LSU player who can consistently make 'em. It's a basic fundamental, shot from the same distance EVERY time, and yet they still suck at it. But I seriously don't like basketball, so I don't care which other team wins it all.
Baseball is much more fun. Florida always has a good team; so does alabama, South Carolina and a few more. I worry with every weekend series against another SEC team. The good news is that if you can make it into the SEC tournament, you have new life in a whole new mini-season.
I don't keep up with women's gymnastics, but I do know LSU has one of the best coaches out there. I saw on the news that they edged out alabama by some thousandths of a point. I don't understand the scoring at all, but those girl gymnasts DO have some nice legs and butts!

Wow. LSU isn't LAST? Every time I watch the news they have LOST another game. Pathetic.

3.1.2017 Standing heading into final weekend of SEC regular season: UK has wrapped up the 1 seed and UF has wrapped up the 2 seed in the SEC tourney. The Gators will at most play 3 tourney games starting next Friday regardless of what happens at Vandy on Saturday. UF will be playing for pride and a good seed in the NCAA tourney.
