Now let's see if you can make some kind of connection between the jobs "saved" and the jobs "lost," beyond their being in the same company. If I need more mechanics than accountants, I can't turn accountants into mechanics. A must go, and M must be increased.

Based on the article, Carrier is saying that automation won't be as cheap as Mexico, but it will be cheaper than the old way. That tells me that the jobs are gone and the cost of their products are going to cost me more if I buy them. So, thanks, Donald. No jobs and higher prices. What a deal! If we're lucky the robots are built in the USA. |
