The top 5 remain unchanged: roadtonationals.com/results/standings/Florida blew a chance to move up when 2 fell off the beam forcing UF to count a low score in the Gators final rotation at Georgia.

2.26.2018 roadtonationals.com/results/standings/That looks like a solid top 5 for the Super Six with several teams looking to squeeze into the 6th position. I've seen bama. They are a bit shaky at #6. Florida took a blow to its national championship aspirations on Friday night. Senior All-American Kennedy Baker was the last performer in a win over Arkansas when she tore her Achilles heel on her second tumbling pass of her floor routine. The UF career ended on a sour note for this exceptional gymnast who particularly excelled on the event that ended her career. She routinely scored 9.95 or better on the floor and received a 10 two weeks ago. I'm sure she will be on the floor coaching the other girls up, but UF is a lesser team without her senior leadership and talent. Thank you to Kennedy Baker for an excellent 4 year Florida career.

Pitiful performance at Mizzou - Kennedy Baker is a huge miss - This team is going no where with the youngsters performing like this:
1 Mizzou 196.925
2 Florida 196.700 -.225
This is still a good team, but I didn't see a Super 6 team tonight. Alex McMurtry needs to go all around, but I don't think she has the strength to do it. The youngsters filling in for Kennedy Baker and on the floor for Alex McMurtry are just average right now. Alyssa Bauman has tons of potential, but after being off injured for a year, she is still rusty.

Under the Legendary Suzanne Yoculan the Georgia Lady Gymdogs won 10 NCAA titles, including 5 in a row from 2005-2009. 16 SEC titles and 22 NCAA Regional titles. Alas, since Yoculan retired after the 2009 season, there have been no championships for Georgia. How the mighty have fallen!

3.12.2018 roadtonationals.com/results/standings/The top 7 remain unchanged. In their first home meet since Kennedy Baker was career ended with an injury, Florida did about as well as they could do earning an easy win over Nebraska with a 197.925 score. There is very little room for improvement. Doing their best should keep the Gators in the Super 6, but this team isn't the same with Baker who was a senior experienced All-American. Oklahoma and LSU will have to have off an off meet in the Super 6 for the Gators to have any chance. I'm just not seeing it now.

Polls Heading Into NCAA Regionals: roadtonationals.com/results/standings/1. Oklahoma 2. LSU 3. UCLA 4. Utah 5. Florida 6. Alabama 7. Michigan 8. Washington If I were a betting person, I'd lay my money on Oklahoma. LSU is capable, but the Sooners have successfully reloaded to national championship level talent. JMHO, the Sooner will have to have some uncharacteristic spills like they did against Nebraska to give the other top teams a chance to nose them out. I liked Florida's chances a lot until senior All-American Kennedy Baker tore her Achilles heel combined with the Gators never seeming to have gotten their act together on the floor except when they won the dual meet with Oklahoma in Gainesville. That will likely end up being their best match of the season by far.

2019 Week 3: roadtonationals.com/results/standings/season/2019/3/0/51. Oklahoma 2. UCLA 3. Florida 4. Utah 5. LSU I'd expect to see the top 5 come the Super 6, you pick team 6 as after 3 meets, 2 for Florida who started a week later than everybody else, there appears to be a drop off after the top 5.

2019 Week 5: roadtonationals.com/results/standings/season/2019/5/0/51. Oklahoma 2. Florida 3. UCLA 4. Utah 5. LSU 6. Georgia 7. Denver 8. Alabama I haven't seen defending national champion UCLA yet, but both Oklahoma and Florida are capable of winning the Super 6 national championship. UCLA will be at Oklahoma the first weekend in March for an ESPN televised meet. Depending on their improvement over the remainder of the season, Utah and LSU could make some noise too. I've seen LSU. They are good, but must improve to become national championship good. A clear top 5 continues to exist. Georgia and Alabama have the history and the coaches to have success and make a run, but they lack the stable of national championship quality performers to compete for the Super 6 national championship. Their coaches say the right things, but it isn't happening for them this season. I have no doubt both programs will be back to competing for the national championship again in the near future. The programs are too good to stay down. I haven't seen Denver, but I'm having a hard time seeing them as a real threat too.

Week 7: roadtonationals.com/results/standings/season/2019/7/0/51. Oklahoma 2. UCLA 3. Florida Florida's road win score of 197.30 at Alabama matched their lowest score of the year and dropped the Gators into 3rd .026 behind UCLA. It was the Gators first win in Tuscaloosa in 40 year (1979). The Gators did uncharacteristically poorly on the parallel bars and the beam. Florida had such a big lead heading into the last rotation on the beam that I think they relaxed too much after putting up an historical high score on the floor for away or home. The floor routines were dazzling. The Gators would have had to have 3 in the beam lineup to fall for Alabama to have had a chance. That didn't happen, but the Gators usually strong beam performances were lacking. The top 3 are far more likely to win the 2019 national championship that anyone ranked behind them. The chances of having all 3 to fall on their faces in the Super Six is zero. That's what it would take to open the door for anyone else. Going into the 2018 regional, UCLA came out of the 3 spot to win the national championship.
