I'm not complaining. Trump supporters are. They voted for Trump in my area cause they think he's going to get those to reopen. He gave me health care and a better life. Before Obama it had been almost 10 years since I last had insurance. Hadn't gone to a dentist is 7 years. Hadn't gotten new glasses in 6 years. Hadn't been to a family doctor since I was 25 (I turned 38 back in December) After I got health care through Obama care. I got to see a dentist. Got cavities filled. Got new glasses. Went to a doctor for a check up. Got a ton healthier. My son was able to get healthcare. My wife was able to go to the OBGYN for check ups. My son was born healthy. All thanks to Obama. Now you, Trump, and your friends on here. Want to tell us to go eat shit and die. Okay, so you got healthcare you can afford. Good! Now since my Sister SELLS the ACA, (not obamacare, because he never did) you need to understand that I know more than some. The cost of coverage is based on your income. But if you REFUSE to buy it because you need money for other stuff, like car insurance, clothes or even goceries, they do not take that into account. And YOU get a fine. You are forced to buy your insurance only from designated companies that wish to participate in the market place. Also I know that with glasses they only cover certain ones, of their choice and do not cover contacts. I did a bit of research and asked. President Trump is going to RE-VISE the ACA. Not get rid of it entirely. He plans on opening up the market, making it YOUR CHOICE of which company you buy from. ERGO you CAN keep your DOCTOR. The FEDERAL MANDATE OF TAX PENALTY will BE ELIMINATED! Getting this yet?? Social Security, medicaid and medicare WILL STAY.. Women will still get THE SAME MEDICAL CARE as what they got under ACA. Children will still be covered! The only change will be, that YOU HAVE A CHOICE! It boggles the mind how no liberal can listen and understand this. I get Medicaid through the ACA. I went to the Web site and filled out everything. This was before my son was born. The cheapest policy for my wife and I would've been $586 a month. Our rent is about the same. So the Web site after taking our income info said we would get Medicaid. We have had it for 3 years now. |

Darling child, whosoever said anything about insurance? I said pay for it yourself, as in: go to the doctor, go to the dentist, go to the opthomologist AND f-ing PAY FOR IT YOURSELF! Much cheaper than buying insurance, eh what? I have to disagree here. A Doctors visit for a woman OBGYN is $350.00 for 15 minutes. A Urgent care for a quick "let me tell you, you have the flu" is $125.00 Nevermind prescriptions. If you are on living paycheck to paycheck, and you work for a company that does not provide medical those bills can add up quick. Fred, until you have lived in this circumstance you have no idea. I have been there, done that. I raised my sons with no medical care, barely any money. Buying a lousy pair of jeans was something I did once every 4 years. Poverty does not just belong to the democrats. I have worked since I was 8 years old. I will work until I can't anymore. Mom will be 90 tomorrow.. She just retired in 2015. Well said Coal. And Happy Birthday to your mom. My mom turned 90 last year, so I know it can be a big deal. I have said this before, as has Obama. If the Pubs can fashion a better idea to provide what Trump claims he wants...insurance for all...I'll be cheering them on. But so far, that doesn't sound like what they will propose. We shall see what they come up with. |

We did, Coal. When Fred was semi-retired for almost two years we paid cash for everything and we made due. Like I said, when paying cash, doctors and dentists will negotiate the price way down when they understand your circumstances. At least our did. I was able to get my prescriptions for a big discount through a low income program at the Costco pharmacy. Instead of whining and being a victim like stupid people do we actually were very proactive in maintaining our health care and tightened our belts to achieve that goal. Where are these doctors you speak of? If I walked into a doctor office where I live and said. "I'm poor, I know it's usually $250 but how about $50 instead" my ass would be thrown out before I could blink |
