Fred has been debating the last few weeks about picking up something to commemorate the inauguration, and for a new day for the country. He finally settled on this and just has to pull the trigger, so to speak. A Henry 45-70 with color case hardening. A fine American rifle in a fine American cartridge for a fine American day banging gongs at 300 yards.  |

Me personally, I'd take the straight wrist, large loop lever version. It's "The Rifleman" fan in me coming out.
Can't go wrong with either one.
I have this one and I love it.www.henryrifles.com/rifles/lever-action-22-carbine-rifle/Oh yeah .............. make sure you do NOT hold the rifle vertically when you load the magazine. That should go without saying, though.
